Destruction of concrete at horizontal surfaces of reinforced concrete structures (slabs, beams) usually is characterised by formation of cracks, surface damage of the concrete, exposure and corrosion of the reinforcement. Repair of structures is complicated operation as often should be carried out in confined conditions close to a water level.

The repair techniques developed by
GT Corporation foresee implementation of works in hardly accessible spaces with use of semi-submersible platforms and pontoons as well as special underwater equipment - hermetic chambers.
Methods of repair depend on the degree of damage or deterioration. Generally, repairs include removing of defective concrete, injection of cracks, corrosion protection of the reinforcement, restoring of the initial shape of the construction by application of reprofiling, levelling and sealing compounds. Additional protective and strengthening coatings can be applied if necessary.
Works are performed keeping the structures in operational conditions.
